Main Assignment
The main task is to contribute and support the resource school's staff with special pedagogical/special teacher competence and to create a collaborative alliance with all the important people for the student, together contributing to the students' well-being.
You contribute within the framework of the school's mission with your competence and commitment. Furthermore, you collaborate with your colleagues throughout the resource school's operations. You contribute in interaction with others to develop the operations in a solution-focused way, create a creative learning environment, and thereby find ways to good development and increased goal achievement.
The resource school's operations are part of the development department, which has an overarching role in the work based on BUF as a whole.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Teacher
As a special teacher, you work with in-depth knowledge of mathematics development with a focus on the individual level. You use special pedagogical methods to plan, prepare, and conduct teaching and support the student based on their specific difficulties.
You carry out and document assessments, investigations, and various forms of pedagogical tests aimed at leading to a better understanding of the student's difficulties in schoolwork. As a special teacher, you also contribute your expertise in the work with pedagogical investigations, adaptations, and action programs. You work to remove barriers and difficulties in the learning environment, develop alternative learning environments and learning tools. You are a qualified conversation partner in matters concerning children's and students' language, writing, and reading development in team work and student health teams.
Special Educator
Based on analyses at the individual, group, and organizational levels, you work in a guiding capacity focusing on the group and organization. You actively contribute to qualified discussions about learning situations and the development of the school environment together with the principal, work teams, and student health teams. Furthermore, you support educators in structuring their work to facilitate students' learning situations. With a salutogenic approach, you contribute to health-promoting and preventive work.
Common Job Responsibilities

In your work, you create relationships both internally and externally characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you meet students where they are. You engage, inspire, and stimulate students to learn and take responsibility, as well as lead and organize the work so that a safe learning environment is created based on mutual respect and collaboration. In a systematic way, you reflect on and evaluate the practical work individually and together with others. Your job responsibilities also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the special teacher position, you need to have a teaching license with authorization to teach special education for students in grades 4-9 in primary school, as well as a special teacher's degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. You also need to have a teaching license with authorization to teach mathematics for grades 4-9.
For the special educator position, you need to have a special educator's degree and a teaching license for grades 4-9 in primary school.
The assignment requires that you have three years of well-documented experience in teaching within the school system and experience in teaching in primary school, grades 4-9. As a special teacher, you also need the ability to apply in-depth knowledge of language, writing, and reading development. As a special educator, you also need to have well-documented ability to guide.
You can implement the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support. The ability to adapt working methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' conditions is required in the role.
Of course, you are well acquainted with current pedagogical and didactic research. We want you to have good knowledge of and the ability to work based on current governing documents, as well as good knowledge regarding alternative learning tools.
You can practice a situationally adapted learning and leadership that is based on understanding the students' situations and values and meeting them where they are. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and empower students to learn and take responsibility.
To allow us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you may be employed temporarily as an unqualified teacher according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
