About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Kungssten health center, where approximately 25 dedicated staff members work with the patient in focus.

We are a unit with over 8,150 registered patients, and in addition to regular health center services, we have Asthma/COPD and Diabetes clinics, a Psychosocial/Rehab team, and SÄBO.

Within the health center, there are short decision-making paths, and you will feel a strong sense of community. Teamwork is something we value highly; we believe in participation in the processes that drive the organization forward, and we strive together toward ambitious goals. You will meet a team of permanent general practitioners who, together with you and other colleagues, continuously work to develop the organization focused on quality, accessibility, and continuity.

The health center and BVC are located at the foot of the Älvsborg Bridge in the Majorna/Linné district. We cover a geographical area from Western Gothenburg over Grimmered, Högsbohöjd, down to Mariaplan.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center span a broad field and cover the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treating in primary care, both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You will work largely independently with your own clinic where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as with other actors such as home care and other specialist care. Together with the health center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the organization forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also part of your role at the health center.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. Experience in primary care and/or mentoring training (7.5 credits) is advantageous, but we also welcome new graduates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We hope you have an interest in digitalization and organizational development. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection is done in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Then the hiring manager makes a second selection of applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
