We are about 400 colleagues in the administration, and our role is to provide residents with the right tools so they can take responsibility for their own development and livelihood. Additionally, we coordinate the city's work on migration and integration issues.

Job Responsibilities

Komvux Helsingborg is the city of Helsingborg's own provider of adult education, offering SFI instruction, basic and upper secondary adult education, as well as tailored education for adults. As part of the Employment Administration, we also conduct instruction in various labor market initiatives. Our size and breadth provide many opportunities for a varied and exciting job.

We are looking for a new colleague to teach English at the basic and upper secondary levels.

As a teacher, it is your task to lead and instruct course participants, plan and conduct teaching, and assess students' efforts. You will work together with another teacher and jointly be responsible for the quality of the course. Together with your colleagues, you will plan, document, and develop your own practice and thus the operations in collaboration with your immediate supervisor, focusing on the students' progression in the subject of English. We work based on an inclusive and present approach where all students are seen in their efforts to reach their goals.

You will lead instruction in our facilities on the Campus area in Helsingborg (Rönnowsgatan 10). We primarily conduct teaching during the day from Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 AM, but we also offer evening courses one evening a week. We want to continue developing our work in the subject of English, and we would like you to be involved in developing the work with English progression from basic to upper secondary level. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

has a teaching license with authorization to teach English at the basic or upper secondary level.
has previous pedagogical experience working with adult education.
has experience teaching both larger groups and individually.
preferably has prior experience working with digital tools.
has experience working in a teaching team and conducting development work within this framework.
