Your Workplace

The Rehabilitation Specialist Care at the Central Hospital in Karlstad is an operation with about 90 employees and three areas of expertise: occupational therapy, music and art therapy, and physiotherapy.

We work with several specialties at the Central Hospital, such as neurology, geriatrics, surgery, medicine, orthopedics, ICU, both in outpatient and inpatient care.

Currently, about 30 occupational therapists work within Rehabilitation Specialist Care, which provides good opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer. We implement a clinical career development model for occupational therapists and strive to be a health-promoting workplace, which includes discounts on public transport, opportunities for benefit bicycles, and wellness grants.

Your Tasks

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and want to work with neurological rehabilitation at Day Rehab. Work in other specialties may become relevant over time.

Based on your competence as an occupational therapist, you will make assessments/investigations/mappings and treat and follow up according to the occupational therapy process. We would like you to be able to use occupational therapy models and theories relevant to neurological rehabilitation.

You will have the opportunity to deepen your competence, and there will be room for collegial exchange with the occupational therapist who will be your closest colleague at Day Rehab, as well as with other occupational therapists within Rehabilitation Specialist Care.

Your Knowledge and Skills

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. We value initiative, flexibility, and good communication and collaboration skills. You structure your work independently and consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. Experience in teamwork and/or neurological rehabilitation is an advantage.
