ABOUT THE POSITION

Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Here, you who have an interest in the energy sector have a unique opportunity to develop as a process designer. This position is aimed at those who see themselves building a career in nuclear power and developing at Forsmark.

The design group is responsible for process design through renovations and component replacements at Forsmark's nuclear facilities. As a process designer, you will work with mechanical components such as valves, pumps, fans, etc. The work is mostly project-based for renovations and for replacing mechanical components and spare parts. You will receive support and guidance from a dedicated mentor during your consultancy period.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Tasks

  • Identify and realize renovations in the facility's process systems based on requirements and design conditions
  • Act as technical support and conduct investigations for the operations and maintenance departments
  • Establish and adjust flow charts and prepare documentation for operational and maintenance instructions
  • Work with technical procurement documentation and participate in supplier contacts

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a university degree in mechanical engineering
  • Has a technical interest and ambitions to develop within the nuclear power industry
  • Is fluent in Swedish and English in both spoken and written form as it is required for communication and documentation

The position is security classified, which means that a security clearance will be conducted before employment. The security clearance includes a background check, background investigation, and security interview in accordance with the Security Protection Act. In addition to the security clearance, drug and alcohol tests will be conducted.
