Description

We are now looking for a sports facility caretaker for our ice rink.

We have two active hockey clubs, a hockey gymnasium, and open ice times for the public. A large part of our work is to provide visitors with a warm welcome and a pleasant experience. As a sports facility caretaker, you will be part of the technical department’s property management, which is responsible for the maintenance of the municipality's sports facilities.

During the spring and summer, when the ice rink is closed, you will be involved in the other activities of property management. You will work with various caretaker tasks both indoors and outdoors at the municipality's recreational facilities and properties. You may also work as a driver during the spring and summer.

Responsibilities

Your work will involve close contact with the recreation department, associations, and citizens. The job consists of maintaining the ice rink. The team works shifts during the ice season (approximately September to April) on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Tasks include ice resurfacing, cleaning, supervision, maintenance of property and equipment, and some handling of chemicals, among other duties.

Qualifications

As a sports facility caretaker, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

Completed relevant upper secondary education, preferably in property management or service
Documented relevant work experience in the field, such as caretaker or property manager
Ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
Class B driver's license for manual transmission
Good administrative skills and proficient computer user

It is an advantage if you have the following experience:

Experience working in an ice rink and as a sports caretaker
Experience as a caretaker and in property maintenance
Experience as a driver
Experience in public service
Private experience from associations and sports activities

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

You are responsible and accustomed to working both in a team and independently. You are positive and solution-oriented.
