University Lecturer in Biomedical Analyst Program, Specialization in Clinical Physiology

The Department of Clinical Diagnostics (AKD) offers three different undergraduate programs: the radiography program, and biomedical analyst with two specializations (laboratory medicine and clinical physiology).

What do we offer you?

As a university lecturer in the biomedical analyst program, specialization in clinical physiology, you will teach both theoretically and practically through lectures, workshops, and clinical skills exercises. Teaching will be conducted remotely, but the clinical skills training will take place on campus in Jönköping.

Job responsibilities also include assessing student work, course development, and administration. Professional development is included in the position.

You will be part of a dynamic and international network at the School of Health Sciences and Jönköping University, and have the opportunity to actively contribute to and participate in exciting professional college and JU joint commitments.

Who are we looking for?

To be eligible for the position as a university lecturer, you must be a licensed biomedical analyst or have equivalent qualifications, and have experience in clinical physiology, neurophysiology, nuclear medicine, or a related field. Experience with neurophysiological examinations and/or current clinical experience is an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is engaged and pedagogical with a genuine interest in educating and mentoring students. You have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating both within academia and with professionals in health and social care.

Furthermore, you are structured, responsible, and can conduct teaching in an inspiring and quality-conscious manner, while contributing with a positive attitude, flexibility, and a desire to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. In this role, an analytical and solution-oriented ability is also valued, as these qualities are important for contributing to the development of our educational program.

Since Jönköping University and the School of Health Sciences have a clear international profile, there is a requirement for very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English.

The position requires completed training in higher education pedagogy or equivalent competence. If the pedagogical competence has been acquired in another way, you are expected to undergo higher education pedagogical training during the first two years of employment.

Information

The position is a permanent part-time position, 50% with a start date as soon as possible, by agreement. A probationary period is usually applied.
