Personal Assistant Wanted

We are looking for a personal assistant for our 12-year-old boy living in Bankeryd with his mother and siblings. Are you an active, engaged, and positive person with experience working with children and youth? About the Position

Our boy has a muscle disease and uses a wheelchair. He needs support and help in his daily life. He communicates himself and is often involved in directing and influencing his assistance. Tasks include personal care, medication, support in daily routines, accompanying him to various activities, and motivating him to try new types of activities to stimulate and create joy for the client. Playing computer games, listening to music, going to Asecs, watching football or the hockey team HV71 are some of his favorite activities, and it would be great if you shared these interests together. He also enjoys cooking, baking, and engaging with social media like any other teenager. Our client is starting more training in his daily life, so it would be valuable if you also have an interest in physical activity, sports, and training. On weekdays, the boy goes to school, and assistance is also provided during school hours. Swimming training once a week.

Who Are We Looking For

We believe that you who are applying are a young, engaged, and positive guy. You are confident in yourself, can stand your ground when the situation requires it, and can easily motivate and push for activities that make our client feel good. You have the ability to adapt to different situations based on the client's mood and needs. For you to enjoy working together, we also believe that you share some of his interests. Experience working with youth or as a personal assistant is a plus but not a requirement. The most important thing is personal matching and that you and the client work well and feel good together.

A driver's license is required as the client has an adapted car used for activities and outings together. There will also be lifting and transfers; aids are available, but good physical condition is an advantage to keep up with the pace of this 12-year-old boy's life.
