Engaged Kitchen Assistant Wanted at Meal Service

Job Responsibilities

As a kitchen assistant, you will have a variety of tasks. The main focus is on dishwashing and setting tables for patients. This involves a physically demanding day with some lifting and a lot of cleaning. Three times a day, meals are served to patients, which requires good knowledge of the Swedish language. Each tray has a meal card that describes what type of food should be served on the tray, while the serving line runs.

Our operation includes many stations, and for the right person, there is an opportunity to assist in these as well. We have, among other things, a hot kitchen, restaurants, and a café operation.

About the Workplace

Meal Service Varberg produces and delivers approximately 700 meals daily to patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, food is produced for internal catering. Our mission is to prepare meals from scratch together with competence, pride, and care. We honor our traditions while following trends and drawing inspiration from different cultures.

The operation has a rolling six-week schedule, with some weekends included. Working hours are between 06:30-17:00 on weekdays and 06:00-17:00 on weekends.

Qualifications

You are a structured person with a positive attitude. You enjoy working both independently and in a team. We expect you to be interested in food and service and have the willingness to take responsibility and engage. To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to communicate and collaborate easily. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form is a requirement.

Previous experience in a kitchen/restaurant and completed training in HACCP is an advantage.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
