Transport and Vehicle Unit

The Transport and Vehicle Unit currently handles all food transports to preschools/schools and elderly care. Our transport vehicles depart from the Central Warehouse. We are also responsible for approximately 170 vehicles used in the operations of Laholm Municipality.

We are a small unit currently consisting of a workgroup of eight people who work closely together and support each other. You will get to work in a cheerful team that values trying out ideas, is involved and engaged, and serves as a good example for our colleagues and residents.

About the Position

The main part of the workday will be spent in the workshop with service and maintenance of vehicles and bicycles, including simpler repairs, tire/wheel changes, lights, wipers, welding of heavier equipment, etc. Both interior and exterior maintenance of vehicles may also be included in the position.

Your tasks will also include transporting food to preschools/schools and elderly care. Some weekend driving may be required. Winter preparedness and overtime may occur.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

You have a high school education in vehicles or documented professional experience in the industry. Basic computer skills in Office programs, especially Outlook and Excel, are required. A minimum of a B driving license is a requirement. Experience from a vehicle workshop is an advantage, as well as work with welding and heavier machinery.

You have a high ability to collaborate and good social skills as you meet many people in your daily life. You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You are flexible and self-driven and can take initiative based on assignments, performing tasks carefully and responsibly.
