Job Description
One of our employees working in the morgue operations at Vrinnevisjukhuset in Norrköping is now retiring, and we are therefore looking for a new colleague.
Clinical pathology operates several morgues in the region and also has autopsy operations in Linköping. The morgue in Norrköping is one of the largest morgues, and in addition to the operations there, it also has a routine responsibility for the morgue in Finspång and Valdemarsvik, where remote delivery is also applied. Your primary responsibility will be the operation of the morgue in Norrköping with support from your colleagues in Linköping.
The work is regulated by several legal texts and also has significant elements of ethical and moral considerations.
Your tasks include handling the deceased, extracting battery-operated implants, and controls before delivery to funeral homes. You work independently but in close collaboration with your colleagues at the University Hospital in Linköping. The morgue work also involves contact with healthcare personnel, funeral homes, transporters, hospital chaplains, relatives, and more. Some days, the work is located at other morgues in Östergötland.
The content of the position may be adapted based on the applicant and future operational needs.
About You
You are an autopsy technician, nursing assistant, nurse, or have education that we assess as equivalent. Experience in autopsy work or morgue work is meritorious. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

For this position, we are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, service-oriented, stable, and structured. You plan and organize your work efficiently. Furthermore, you find it easy to work concentrated but also to adapt to changing circumstances.
