About the Role
We are looking for a department head and CEO for Vattenfall Nuclear Fuel to join us at Vattenfall Power Solutions
Vattenfall Power Solutions (VPS) supports Vattenfall's nuclear and hydro power with project management, training, qualifications, nuclear fuel, engineering services, and business development. We are involved in all steps of the entire value chain and have nearly 700 employees. Our goal is to develop competence and effective energy solutions that can support the transition to a future with fossil freedom.
As the department head of Vattenfall Nuclear Fuel (VNF), you will actively participate in VPS management and also serve as the CEO of the wholly-owned company Vattenfall Nuclear Fuel AB. In this position and within Vattenfall and VPS, there are development opportunities for you as an individual.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and develop employees and operations through collaboration, cooperation, enabling, support, accountability, and proactivity. A professional and strong relationship with VNF's customers is of great importance.
An important part of the job is to take responsibility for the overall operations within VNF, VPS, and Vattenfall at large, with a strong desire to improve and learn from others. Contributing to and promoting common working methods and knowledge transfer is an important part of your work.
You will report to Johan Börjesson, who is the manager at VPS and also the chairman of the board for VNF, and will be part of the management and governance of VPS.
Requirements
You have an academic degree or equivalent solid work experience and have documented leadership skills. You speak and write fluently in Swedish and our corporate language English. Experience in strategic purchasing and international business relationships is advantageous, as is knowledge of the specific circumstances and regulations that apply to operations with nuclear licenses.
You are a positive person who believes that everything can be done better and you create energy and results through collaboration and engagement.
Your genuine interest in people drives you to develop others. As a person, you take initiative, take responsibility, and thrive in a role where you can drive important issues and lead development work. You find it easy to collaborate and have the ability to build trust and engagement. You are clear and confident in your role and promote open dialogue within your organization.
We are convinced that diversity contributes to building a more profitable and attractive company and strive to be good role models regarding diversity. Vattenfall actively works to ensure that all employees have the same opportunities and rights regardless of age, ethnic or cultural background, gender identity and expression, religion/belief, sexual orientation, or disability.
