Job Responsibilities

Malmö Sommarscen is the Culture Administration's most extensive event. Every summer, Malmö Sommarscen presents approximately 150 performances with free admission under the open sky, at around 40 different venues throughout Malmö. The ambition is to constantly challenge, surprise, and inspire the audience. The program ranges from the unique and unexpected to the broad and popular, featuring everything from dance, literary walks, and film to new circus, sing-alongs, children's theater, and music from around the world.

To contribute to the growth of sound technicians in Malmö, Malmö Sommarscen will employ 2 individuals in the early stages of their sound technician careers during the summer of 2025, to assist in the technical execution of the summer events under the guidance of Malmö Sommarscen's regular sound technicians. You will work with a variety of tasks, both before, during, and after the events. You will be employed and regarded as part of the regular staff, although without primary responsibility for the technology during the events. The purpose is both to help carry out the events and to create a network and experience to stand on your own as a sound technician.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of sound technology gained through either work experience or education. Additionally, you should have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience in the cultural sector is an advantage.

As a person, you should be able to prioritize under time-pressured situations and be social and proactive. We expect you to have a strong interest in the field and the ambition to continue developing your existing skills in sound technology.
