About the role

In the role of Electronics Engineer, you may work in areas such as Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, and FPGA development. As a newly hired Electronics Engineer, you will be offered a broad and educational role with learning tasks. You will be assigned a mentor who will support you during your training. Currently, there are about 25-30 employees working with electronics development in various ways, the majority being Saab employees and a few consultants. Saab has many exciting projects ahead. As an employee, you may work on troubleshooting issues with older aircraft models and product sustainability. You may also work on new development projects for new concept aircraft!

You may have different entry points for your position as an Electronics Engineer. Examples of tasks and responsibilities:

• If you work with Digital Electronics, you will create computer boards for aircraft and build the entire computer boards from scratch. They work, for example, with processors, memories, as well as design and draw electrical schematics. Other examples of tasks may include requirements management, simulation, running and testing boards, and working with EMC.
• If you work with Power Electronics, you will instead work on the development of power boards to control other boards, motors, and flaps on aircraft. FPGA developers are the group's skilled programmers who code in VHDL. Regardless of the area you work in, you may also support the support/maintenance department with your expertise.

Your profile

To succeed in the role of Electronics Engineer, we believe you have a strong desire to absorb new information and learn new things. You are not afraid to ask for help and discuss issues with other colleagues. You also enjoy collaborating across departmental boundaries. You have the ability to work in a structured manner, as it is important to follow routines and guidelines regarding the order in which tasks should be performed. Furthermore, we believe you have good collaboration skills where you ask for help and assist others in their work when needed.

Mandatory requirements for the position:

• Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering/Embedded Systems/Equivalent
• Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Citizenship requirements due to work in a classified security area
• Strong interest in electronics and hardware

Desirable qualifications for the position:

• Knowledge of VHDL
