Machinist for Mechanical Workshop - Engine Machining

Meksta AB in Tyresö is a specialist workshop specializing in engine rebuilding. We perform complete machining of internal combustion engines in-house, from measurement and machining to assembly and testing. We are now expanding and looking for a machinist to join our machining department.

About the role

You will work with machining engines and engine components in our workshop. The work is hands-on and requires precision at the hundredth and thousandth levels.

Responsibilities:

• Crankshaft grinding
• Surface grinding of cylinder heads and block surfaces
• Boring and honing of cylinder bores
• Machining of valve seats
• Measurement and tolerance control
• Disassembly and assembly of engines and bottom ends as part of the machining process

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience with machining in a mechanical workshop, preferably with engines or engine components
• Can read drawings and work with tolerances
• Is proficient with measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers
• Works independently and in a structured manner
• Speaks Swedish or English

Experience with crankshaft grinding is a plus.

We offer

• Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week
• Salary: 34,000 SEK per month plus performance-based bonus up to 18,400 SEK, totaling 52,400 SEK/month
