Sandvik IT Services (SITS) provides Sandvik with IT infrastructure, systems and business critical solutions, and we need the best people with different backgrounds and experiences, all in the right place, to make this work. Working in a constantly changing environment with new technology emerging every day, new challenges, innovations and problem-solving are all part of our culture.
Through effective and strategic purchasing, we ensure cost-efficiency, high quality and reliability. We continually work to identify new ways to improve efficiency and profitability in our IT delivery. At IT Sourcing, within SITS, we’re responsible for developing Global Category Strategies and handle stakeholder management by building trustworthy long-term relationships with suppliers within the IT category. We’re the first point of contact for our internal stakeholders regarding negotiations and contracts for procurement and lifecycle management, and we’re now looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our excellent team.
In this role, you develop, implement and follow-up on sourcing projects aligned to category strategies, and you lead and participate in Supplier Relationship Management activities. You take responsibility for the whole sourcing process, from the initial stages to completion, and by doing so, you ensure successful implementation of set strategies. Being responsible for the complete contract process – from negotiation to implementation and maintaining contracts (Contract Lifecycle Management) – is an important part of your job. You act as a single point of contact to your key stakeholders and you establish and ensure stable relationships with the service organization and suppliers.
The location for this position is either Sandviken or Kista (regular trips to Sandviken is necessary to have a good stakeholder dialogue and is expected approximately twice a week).
We’re looking for someone with a degree in Economy, Business Administration or the equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. You have experience from a category driven organization and IT Sourcing, as well as good understanding of the IT landscape in general. Other keys to success in this role are great stakeholder management and a broad perspective in order to identify innovative solutions. As we act in a truly global environment you need excellent English skills, written and verbally, while knowledge in Swedish is a plus.
Your personality truly makes the difference – with your strategic mindset and natural problem-solving skills you easily find new ways to go. By being open-minded and communicative you have no problem in building strong and trusting relationships at all levels, always keeping the business in mind. You enjoy working independently and at the same time, you truly see the value in collaboration with both colleagues and stakeholders.
At Sandvik, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
