Junior Assistant Manager (JAM) at Stena Line

As a Junior Assistant Manager (JAM), you will play an important role in our Onboard, Sales & Service (OSS) department. You will support our OSS managers to ensure routines, tasks, and other elements are in place. Together, you will lead, engage, and motivate your colleagues in their daily work and promote collaboration within the team. You are a key player in achieving excellent service for our guests onboard!

Some responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate employees in their daily work
• Financial administration and reporting
• Strong focus on daily operations within hotel, retail, and Food and Beverage
• Responsible for deliveries, inventories, ordering of goods, and back office routines together with OSS managers
• Introduce new employees.

What we can offer you

You will belong to our largest department onboard and become part of a wonderful team that ensures operations run as smoothly as possible with the guest in focus.

We cover the mandatory safety training required to work onboard a vessel, if you do not already have them.

Our ships operate from Gothenburg, Halmstad, and Trelleborg, and you should be able to work from all ports. Of course, we plan from your home location as much as possible.

Your must-haves:

• High school diploma, preferably in Hotel & Restaurant
• Work experience in service and sales
• Good computer skills and system familiarity
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written

Preferred qualifications

• Language skills in Danish and German
• Experience in a supervisory position

Interested?

The position is a summer temporary position during the summer months. The work involves varying hours throughout the day and our operations run seven days a week, year-round. You work in shifts and live onboard the ship. For example, if you work 7 days onboard, this is followed by an equal period of leave. The position is a shipping company employment and the salary is regulated according to the collective agreement with SBF.
