Your Role

Are you an aircraft technician who wants to share your knowledge?

Then the role of Instructor in our civil training programs might be for you!

Within the Technical Training Section, you will be part of a team of skilled instructors who develop and conduct Familiarization Courses, Theoretical and Practical Type Courses, Differential Courses, Brush-up Courses, and Technical Pilot Courses for Saab 340, Saab 2000, GlobalEye, 340 AEW, and 2000 AEW.

In addition to teaching, we also work within the section on:

• Development and creation of training materials
• Creation of e-learning courses
• Development of examination questions
• Project management/Coordination of the section's parts in larger projects
• Coordination and planning of training

Our customers are civil and military operators both nationally and internationally, which means that our training materials are primarily in English, and the courses are delivered either in Swedish or English.

Our training is mainly conducted at Saab's facilities in Linköping (Tannefors), but travel within Sweden and internationally may occur.

The section belongs to the Aviation Training department, where we train aircraft technicians, flight engineers, pilots, production personnel, and other maintenance staff. Within the department, we are also in the startup phase of a new trainee program for both Aircraft Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics.

Your Profile

To succeed and thrive in the role of instructor with us, you need to:

• Have strong social skills and can engage with different types of people
• Be responsible, clear, and easy to collaborate with
• Be a good communicator and enjoy speaking in front of others
• Have the willingness and ability to teach others and share your knowledge and experiences
• Be quick to learn and have the desire to continue developing, learning new things, and embracing new technology
• Be computer literate and have administrative skills
• Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English
• Hold a B1.1 and/or B2 technician certificate for at least one aircraft type

It is advantageous if you:

• Hold type certificates for Saab 340, Saab 2000, or Global 6000/6500
• Have knowledge of any of the above platforms
• Have experience in training

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
