About the Role

We are now looking for a Senior Embedded Developer with a focus on the defense sector. Here, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions in technically advanced and safety-critical defense projects.

In the role of Embedded Developer, you work with the entire development chain and contribute your technical expertise to advanced projects within defense and security.

As part of the AFRY team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, both internally in our product development operations and externally with our customers in the defense sector. You will, among other things:

• Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems, primarily in C/C++ and Python
• Work in agile and cross-functional teams, in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers
• Participate in the entire development process – from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing, and verification
• Work on defense-related projects, both on-site with clients and in-house
• Become part of AFRY's large and competent Embedded team, with good opportunities for competence development

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a senior profile within embedded development and a clear interest in safety-critical systems. You have several years of experience with embedded systems and feel confident taking technical responsibility in complex environments. We would like you to have:

• Deep understanding of Embedded Linux
• Experience with or understanding of Yocto
• Experience with cybersecurity in embedded systems, for example:
  • Encryption
  • Key management
  • Secure boot
• Very good knowledge of C/C++
• Experience with Python is meritorious
• Meritorious: experience with Qt/QML

For this position, it is a requirement that you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish clients. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you will be subjected to a security check in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

You are a non-hierarchical and collaborative person who is happy to share your knowledge and is simultaneously curious to learn from others. You thrive in the consultant role and are motivated by the opportunity to contribute technical expertise and problem-solving skills in security-classified environments. For us, personal maturity, responsibility, and the ability to create good collaborations are at least as important as technical competence.
