Description

Short-term Lindbacken provides short-term care and stays in accordance with the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The facility is divided into two newly renovated and well-adapted floors, where younger children stay on one floor and older children/young adults on the other. The children/young adults stay at the facility for varying numbers of days per month based on their assessed support decisions. The role involves providing relief for the children's guardians and offering the child/young adult a change of environment.

The role also includes short-term supervision (leisure time) for school-aged children with extended school-age childcare.

We are now looking for a Support Assistant for a permanent position.

Responsibilities

We value constructive collaboration with the unit manager, operations manager, and other colleagues, characterized by good dialogue. As a Support Assistant, you will provide the children and young adults with an stimulating, fun, and meaningful stay at the short-term residence and leisure activities. We work with clear pedagogy (visual supports) and low-affective handling. Support the children/young adults to be active participants in their daily life during their stay at the short-term/leisure facility and help them develop their independence. All staff at Lindbacken work days, evenings, weekends, and possibly overnight on-call duties or occasional night shifts.

Qualifications

As a Support Assistant, you must have completed the Care and Nursing program or the Child and Leisure program.

Experience working with and knowledge about people with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities is an advantage. Experience working with people with autism or autism-like conditions and knowledge of clear pedagogy is required.

It is important that you have a positive view of people, that you are flexible, secure, and responsive, and that you have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. It is important to have fun at work!

We work with a high degree of flexibility and help each other out between the floors. Personal suitability is highly valued!

Conditions

A valid Class B driver's license is required.
