We offer an exciting and unique assignment to promote meaningful leisure time and hope for the future among young people, in close collaboration with local schools, property owners, and the business community.

The employment falls under the Welfare and Leisure Department of Hisingen Social Services, specifically at Leisure Unit 3, operating in Biskopsgården. Within Leisure 3, there are three meeting places for children and young people aged 9–20.

At the largest meeting place, Vårvinden, the unit manager, coordinator, and staff are located. This will also be your workplace. The other meeting places are the creative Construction Playground and the Youth Hub, focusing on jobs, education, and entrepreneurship. You will be part of a large unit with many colleagues with different competencies who, together with the unit manager and coordinator, support you in your assignment.

In your role, you will:

• Be responsible for the Youth Hub, which is open on Tuesdays between 15:00–19:00. You will coordinate and participate in staffing the activity, which includes planning programs, contacting inspirers and employers, and following up and evaluating results.
• Be responsible for developing the "Young Leaders" concept, where you create a clear introduction and training, and handle schedules, time reporting, and evaluation of the initiative. The young leaders participate in planning, marketing, and staffing the Youth Hub.
• Represent Hisingen Social Services in the collaboration initiative Handslag Biskopsgården. This is one of four "handshakes" in Gothenburg where the city and business community collaborate to strengthen efforts aimed at more students achieving upper secondary school eligibility, more adults entering self-sufficiency, and more young people experiencing meaningful leisure time.
• Participate in the development of neighborhood work.

The position involves flexible employment with working hours during the day: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and afternoons/evenings on Tuesdays.

The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Qualifications

This position suits you if you can balance being structured and solution-focused. You need to take an active role in planning, implementation, and follow-up while understanding that the work is sometimes shaped along the way.

For this position, you need to have:

• A completed higher education degree in a field relevant to the position.
• Experience in complex collaboration processes and work with the target group of young people.
• Preference is given to work experience related to the assignment, e.g., within leisure, school, collaboration between municipality, civil society, and business, as well as effect measurement of social work.
• Local knowledge of the area and a locally established network are also meritorious.

The position places high demands on personal maturity and the ability to feel comfortable and take a place in various contexts, such as in direct contact with the target group and in meetings with collaboration partners.

Interviews are expected to take place during weeks 30 and 31.
