Do you want to work as a District Nurse at Spånga Health Centre?

At Spånga Health Centre, dedicated, competent, and friendly colleagues work in an open and welcoming atmosphere. We value a sustainable work environment, professional community, and competence development.

Our ambition is to offer residents good care at a high medical level with a focus on patient safety and quality. Spånga Health Centre is a primary care facility within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). The health centre is located close to commuter train and bus connections, just 12 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station. Our area covers Solhem, Bromsten, Sundby, and Flysta, characterized by small-town architecture.

The clinic is well-staffed, and most of our patients are offered a fixed doctor assignment. We are an established clinic with just over 44 employees. Here, district nurses, nurses, general practice specialists, resident doctors, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries work. The health centre also has a psychosocial team. We have approximately 17,200 registered patients and a home care service with around 130 patients. You can read more about us at Spånga Health Centre (regionstockholm.se).

We believe it is important to balance work and private life and offer flexible schedules. Working hours can vary between 07:30-17:00, Monday-Friday, with weekends off.

SLSO creates good conditions for you as an employee to develop and become truly excellent in your profession. As an employee, you enjoy benefits such as free healthcare, additional compensation during parental leave, salary exchange options, contractual pension, and insurance. You can read more about this at Benefits at Stockholm County Council (regionstockholm.se).

Job Responsibilities

The role involves common tasks for a district nurse at a health centre. It consists of varied work at the clinic as well as telephone advice via TeleQ, with the possibility of remote work. There is an opportunity to run your own asthma/COPD clinic or diabetes clinic if you have relevant education.

The district nurse plays a central role in preventive and health-promoting work, such as vaccinations, health checks, and counseling on lifestyle changes. District nurses at the health centre often serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking care.

As a district nurse, you can also be involved in educating other nurses, nursing students, and sometimes doctors in various aspects of primary care.

Qualifications

District nurse with experience in primary care and home care. You should also have good computer skills and experience with the medical record system TakeCare.

Very good knowledge of Swedish.

Employment Type

Permanent position, 100%. Probationary period may apply. Start date by agreement.

Personal Attributes

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, engagement, and good teamwork skills. You drive your own work but also want to contribute to the whole at the health centre and develop the operations together with us.

Other Information

To prevent the spread of MRSA, Stockholm County Council (SLSO) requires health certificates before new hires and regulates the possibilities for healthcare staff to wear piercings.

We will review applications continuously and may call for interviews before the application deadline.
