Women's Clinic Mälarsjukhuset, Eskilstuna

Welcome to the midwife clinic and specialist maternity care at Mälarsjukhuset. We are a team of approximately 30 people, distributed between Mälarsjukhuset and five family centers in Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. The midwife clinic and specialist maternity care are organized under the Women's Clinic and collaborate closely with our delivery and neonatal unit. Our shared vision is characterized by high competence, accessibility, efficiency, and kindness!

The Women's Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska Hospital, together with Nyköping Hospital, is responsible for women's healthcare in Region Sörmland. Over 200 people work at the Women's Clinic at Mälarsjukhuset/Kullbergska Hospital. We focus on developing team work together with our various professional groups. Within the clinic, there is a well-developed obstetric and gynecological inpatient and outpatient care, along with an administrative unit. Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna is the largest of our four hospitals in Sörmland.

We are currently looking for a colleague to complement our team.

Your Responsibilities

At the midwife clinic, you work independently in a varied and stimulating environment in close collaboration with colleagues such as midwives, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, and secretaries. The role includes, among other things, telephone counseling, cervical screening (Pap smears), leading parent groups, routine midwife visits during pregnancy, and contraceptive counseling.

We work with activity boards to continuously improve and work towards our goals: Safe patients, a smooth journey through care, and efficient use of resources. In our work group, we have a warm and accepting climate where a helping hand is never far away. We compile weekly newsletters so that everyone has access to the same information simultaneously. We have structured clinic meetings every week and APT (Department Planning and Implementation) once a month to increase participation. We share our knowledge and experiences and are curious about each other.

Your Qualifications

• You are a licensed midwife with prescribing rights.
• You are engaged, flexible, and have an easy time building relationships.
• You enjoy working in a team, and collaboration is second nature to you.
• Experience from maternal health care and/or delivery/neonatal care is advantageous.
• You have a supportive and empathetic approach, with a particular interest in people's varying needs during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Temporary position until 2027-08-31. Start date by agreement.
