We are looking for a BIM and Model Coordinator for a government agency within the transport sector. This is a consultancy assignment based in Stockholm. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves supporting project and construction management in BIM and model management within large and complex infrastructure projects. The assignment includes coordinating, reviewing, and managing 3D models, as well as ensuring that design and model deliveries comply with current requirements, guidelines, and working methods. The role serves as a competence resource for BIM-related questions and contributes to efficient information management throughout the project's execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliveries of documents and model files through project platforms according to the project's IT manual.
• Train construction management in model management and support project and construction management with BIM-related issues.
• Support construction management in handling and visualizing data from the contractor's self-control.
• Produce visualizations based on 3D models to support various project stakeholders.
• Assist project and construction management in reviews and coordinate design parties.
• Monitor and ensure that the design follows design instructions and established requirements.
• Coordinate and manage model file handling with adjacent projects to ensure progress and avoid conflicts.
• Participate in design coordination meetings, construction meetings, technical meetings, and project meetings.
• Conduct reviews of 3D models, act as a model pilot, and handle and review relational models prior to handover to the facility management.
• Develop, adapt, and maintain digital support tools, scripts, applications, and plugin solutions for CAD, BIM, and model management programs.
• Participate in coordination with the company's data coordination function.
• Attend joint conferences and complete mandatory training related to the assignment.

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field according to the requirements below and the nature of the assignment.
• At least 9 years of experience working with model coordination in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Good ability to work with CAD and BIM as well as various modeling programs such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, Microstation, and Solibri Model Checker.
• Good ability to work with digital information and document management from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
• Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written English. You must have worked in at least one previous assignment where communication was conducted in English.
• Fluent Swedish in spoken and written form.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from the design and construction process within large infrastructure projects (>500 MSEK in total cost) from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
• Experience from the design and construction process within large building, installation projects, or subway projects in Stockholm, from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
• Experience from contracting activities within infrastructure, from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
• Experience with VDC, information, or machine control models, from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
• Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).
• Experience in developing, adapting, or maintaining digital tools, scripts, applications, or plugins that support CAD/BIM, VDC, model review, information management, quality assurance, or creation of relational models within infrastructure or construction projects, from at least one assignment lasting 1 year.
