BUP Farsta is looking for a licensed psychologist with CBT training and a strong interest in child and adolescent psychiatry.

BUP Farsta is an outpatient clinic in Farsta for children and adolescents aged 7–17. The clinic is staffed by psychologists, counselors, physicians, nurses, and administrators with specialized competence in child and adolescent psychiatry. We work interprofessionally, in close collaboration with guardians and, when necessary, with schools, social services, and other healthcare partners. Our work is guided by BUP Stockholm’s process maps, which support assessment, investigation, and treatment.

As a psychologist at BUP Farsta, you will have excellent opportunities for professional development within an experienced team. We offer qualified supervision, competence development, and close collegial collaboration. We value employees who can quickly take responsibility in clinical work while contributing to shared learning and the development of the clinic’s interventions.

BUP Farsta has a core mandate within specialized child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient care and offers Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders as a subspecialized intervention. Experience with eating disorder care, family-based work, parent-focused interventions, and group-based support measures is therefore particularly relevant for this position.

Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include assessment, neuropsychiatric investigation, and CBT-based treatment of children and adolescents with various psychiatric conditions. This may include assessment and treatment for anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, as well as adapting approaches and treatment for comorbid autism or other neuropsychiatric conditions. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and healthcare partners.

You are also expected to actively participate in the clinic’s development work, for example by contributing to the development and implementation of structured treatment interventions, psychoeducational initiatives, or group interventions targeting children, adolescents, or parents.

Qualifications

You are a licensed psychologist with a CBT focus and current experience in child and adolescent psychiatric work within specialized outpatient care. You have experience with CBT-based treatment, FBT for eating disorders, neuropsychiatric investigations, and collaboration with guardians, schools, social services, or other healthcare partners.

It is particularly advantageous if you have experience with BUP Stockholm’s working methods and process maps, FBT or other family-based work for eating disorders, parent-focused group interventions, and adapting treatment and approaches for autism or other neuropsychiatric conditions.

Personal Qualities

You are self-reliant, positive, and structured. You thrive in clinical work that is orderly and clear, and you have strong skills in planning, documenting, and following up on patient cases. You collaborate well with other professions and contribute to a secure, open, and helpful work climate. Personal suitability is highly valued, particularly the ability to take responsibility, build alliances with children, adolescents, and parents, and contribute constructively in complex cases.

What We Offer

BUP Stockholm works systematically with leadership development to create a good and sustainable work environment where everyone can speak up and feel seen. As an employee, you have good opportunities to develop within your profession. We offer benefits such as favorable pension conditions, the option to exchange salary for pension, free tax-funded healthcare, additional compensation during parental leave, and wellness benefits.

Employment Terms

Permanent position, full-time (100%). Start date by agreement. Interviews may be held continuously during the application period.

We look forward to receiving your application!

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
