About the Position
The Supply Administration is responsible for a large part of the Region of Västra Götaland's logistics and supply operations. This includes the supply of materials, textiles, assistive devices, and pharmaceuticals, as well as the production and distribution of food and meals. We transport a large volume of laboratory samples, mail, and waste. We also supply home-care patients with prescribed assistive devices and pharmaceutical-adjacent products according to specific agreements with the region's municipalities.
The Development Unit within the Supply Administration is responsible for driving strategic development, quality-driven business development, process orientation, and innovation in line with the Administration's mission and goals.
As part of this mission, the Development Unit is responsible for analyzing, planning, and implementing business changes to streamline or otherwise develop logistics and supply processes, based on the Administration's overarching goals and the organization's established needs. In some cases, this involves overarching long-term strategic work, while in others it involves more operational/tactical development of logistics processes.
You will primarily work with:
- Leading administration-wide development projects
- Investigating, analyzing, and preparing decision-making materials
- Leading implementation projects of decided changes
- Providing expert competence within logistics
- Supporting the organization in change management
- Monitoring the external environment and analyzing trends, needs, and opportunities to ensure the Administration's development work is relevant and forward-looking
- Collaborating with other administrations, the region's central development functions, and external actors to promote learning and innovation
The position is located at Regionhuset in Gothenburg. Travel within Västra Götaland occurs regularly in this role.
Qualifications
In the role of Business Developer with a focus on logistics, we are looking for you who are customer- and result-oriented, and who thrive in a role where you get to build relationships, drive development, and contribute to the organization's long-term improvement work. You have experience in leading or driving roles and are accustomed to working with logistics, flow, or process development issues.
We would appreciate it if you have experience conducting analyses related to flows and efficiency, as well as the ability to work both strategically and operationally – from a holistic perspective down to detailed functional levels.
We are looking for you who have specialist competence in one of the following areas:
- Process and production development
- Supply chains
- Warehousing and logistics
- Automation within warehousing and production operations
You have a relevant university degree and a few years of experience in business development and project management. The role requires you to work independently, take initiative, and possess strong analytical skills. You are accustomed to identifying and driving development areas, as well as communicating messages and creating engagement within the organization. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in cooperation with others. You keep up to date with developments and trends in the field. Experience from the public sector and/or larger organizations is meritorious.
