Do you want to help shape the digital municipality of the future? We are looking for a System Architect who wants to drive the development of our IT architecture and create sustainable, secure, and efficient solutions for our operations.

About the role

As a System Architect, you play a central role in the municipality's digitalization efforts. You work both strategically and operationally to develop and manage the municipality's system architecture, ensuring that our IT solutions support the needs of the business – today and in the future.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Develop and maintain the municipality's system and integration architecture
• Ensure that new solutions follow decided architecture principles, standards, and security requirements
• Participate in procurement, requirements specification, and implementation of IT systems
• Work operationally with integrations, system flows, and technical decisions
• Support business units in digital development, system selection, and change management
• Collaborate with internal IT functions and external suppliers
• Support the Information Security Officer regarding IT security and technical regulatory compliance related to, among other things, GDPR and cybersecurity requirements
• Contribute to documentation, structure, and long-term development of the municipality's IT environment

About the workplace

You will become part of a smaller IT organization centrally located at the Municipal Executive Board Administration, where collaboration, involvement, and responsibility are important parts of everyday life. The role involves close collaboration with both business units and IT colleagues, offering great opportunities to influence and contribute to daily work. During autumn 2026, a transition process to the municipality's new IT operations supplier is underway, where you will be a key player in ensuring a successful launch.

What we are looking for

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Relevant higher education or university degree in IT, systems science, computer science, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Several years of experience working as a system architect, solution architect, or similar senior technical role
• Experience working with complex system environments and integrations
• Good understanding of system landscapes, information flows, and IT infrastructure
• Experience with requirements specification, technical decision-making, and collaboration with suppliers
• Good knowledge of information security, IT security, and relevant regulations
• Ability to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions
• Experience working both strategically and operationally in development and change management
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Experience in training employees
