Psychiatry Northwest is a university clinic located in the northwestern part of the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area (SLSO). Our goal is to offer high-quality, evidence-based treatments to our patients while creating a work environment that is pleasant and inspiring for our staff. Collegiality, knowledge sharing, an open climate, competence development, and continuous updates from psychiatric research are important factors for our doctors, and we actively work to maintain these. We are one of the most research-oriented psychiatric clinics in Sweden.
The department, which has focused on bipolar patients since 2009, has established a stable foundation in our working methods and has a well-developed collaboration with the Affective Care Clinic (the clinic's specialist clinic for bipolar patients). We also treat patients with other general psychiatric diagnoses. Care is provided in accordance with both the Healthcare Act (HSL) and the Mental Health Act (LPT).
