As our deputy unit manager has chosen to advance their career, we are looking for a new deputy unit manager within authority exercise for elderly care. About us
The unit consists of 25 employees who work with authority exercise and preventive operational issues under the Social Services Act (SoL), national transport service (RFT), transport service investigations, and the Act on Housing Adaptation Subsidy. The unit includes assistance case handlers, resident coordinators, housing adaptation case handlers, fee case handlers, a deputy unit manager, a preventive team, and a unit manager. The target group includes elderly persons over 65 years according to SoL and younger persons with disabilities under 65 years according to SoL.
About the position
As a deputy unit manager, you work with authority exercise by supporting assistance case handlers in their processing and documentation, making decisions according to the delegation ordinance, and assisting in appeal processes. You will be responsible for case assignment meetings, leading and distributing cases to assistance case handlers, and conducting follow-up meetings with employees in the form of prioritization support, among other things. You will introduce new employees and act as acting unit manager in case of short or long-term absence (e.g., vacation, illness). Furthermore, you will participate in collaboration meetings with other units and follow up on administrative tasks in Phoniro, Pulsen Combine, among others.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for you who have:
- A social work degree or graduation from the social care program with education in social law
- At least 5 years of experience in authority exercise within LSS, social psychiatry, and elderly care under the Social Services Act, or other equivalent experience
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- Experience with the case handling method IBIC for adults and the elderly
- Experience with the systems Phoniro and Pulsen Combine
- Experience in a leading role within social care
It is meritorious if you can handle transport service, national transport service, fee handling, and housing adaptation.
