Come and work at one of Borås City's newest schools, Björkhöjdskolan. We are now looking for you who want to help develop our operations as a class teacher in grade 3.

Björkhöjdskolan is one of Borås City's newest schools. The school is located in a quiet area with forest and nature right on the doorstep. We are close to our own school forest and other outdoor facilities. Our bright premises are newly renovated, spacious, and functional. Those of us who work at Björkhöjdskolan are dedicated and have built and developed the school into a K-6 school. We have approximately 300 students divided into two parallel classes in each grade, as well as four after-school care units. Björkhöjdskolan has a hearing profile, which means we offer education for students with hearing impairments or cochlear implants (CI) who are about to start preschool class or grade 7.

Together, we create a safe and warm atmosphere as the foundation for the students' knowledge development.

You will work as a class teacher in grade 3. In your work, you plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching individually and together with your colleagues in the work team. Based on your qualifications, you will teach the subjects you are qualified to teach. In the work team, you learn from each other, plan cross-curricular work, and solve challenges. We place great value on your commitment and pedagogical competence. You enjoy being a teacher and meeting children with different backgrounds and prerequisites. You are good at communicating and can collaborate.

If you are a newly graduated teacher, you have the opportunity to have a mentor during your first year with us.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades K-3 or alternatively grades K-6 and are well-versed in the curriculum.

We would also like you to:

• Have an interest in driving development.
• Show good leadership qualities and be able to create safety and order in the classroom and at school.
• Have experience working with students with different backgrounds and prerequisites.
• Easily communicate, create, and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Find it easy to collaborate and be flexible.
• Be creative and able to work both independently and in a team.

It is an advantage if you have broad qualifications, experience working in multilingual environments and/or are qualified in Swedish as a second language, as well as knowledge within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Conditions).
