Do you want to influence the development in Stockholm County? We are looking for a socially engaged lawyer to handle cases regarding foundation law, as well as municipal supervision over municipal decisions concerning permits and supervision of serving and tobacco permits, and municipalities' work with guardians, custodians, and administrators.

What does the role involve?

As a lawyer in the Municipal and Foundation Supervision Unit, you will play a key role in streamlining, prioritizing, and creating results in cases that are important for the trust in the County Administrative Board as a supervisory authority. The unit consists of 16 lawyers and case handlers with specialist knowledge who work with supervision of foundations and municipalities' activities regarding guardianship, as well as in accordance with the Tobacco and Alcohol Acts.

You will work independently with several of the unit's cases and areas in parallel and are expected to be able to prioritize, structure, and switch pace between in-depth reviews and getting hands-on where needed to move cases forward. The work content will consist partly of investigating and handling cases within foundation law, and partly of visiting municipalities and on-site reviewing decisions and documentation within the framework of our municipal supervision.

Your main tasks will be to:

• investigate and handle cases concerning foundations,
• conduct supervision over the municipalities' activities regarding guardianship, as well as in accordance with the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco and Similar Products Act, and the Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products,
• plan and conduct site inspections,
• make decisions within the framework of the supervisory mandate,
• prioritize the case portfolio to ensure progress.

As an employee of the County Administrative Board, you may also need to be assigned to other tasks within the department or the agency, as we are partly a crisis preparedness authority and may receive temporary assignments that need to be resolved quickly. It is therefore a prerequisite that you, as a person, have an interest in working broadly when the opportunity arises.

Are you the one we are looking for?

For this role, we want you to have:

• a law degree (270 ECTS credits),
• current experience of foundation law,
• very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing,
• high security awareness,
• high digital maturity.

To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in the authority role and have the courage to make decisions even in complex and sometimes resistant situations. You see supervision as an important tool in crime prevention work and have good ability to analyze information, see connections, and detect deviations.

As a person, you are further structured, unpretentious, and helpful. You work structured towards clear results. You can handle many cases in parallel, can prioritize between tasks, and work carefully and responsibly.

As an employee of the County Administrative Board, you need to:

• have the ability to make decisions from a holistic perspective, taking several perspectives into account,
• understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to make trade-offs between different interests,
• have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.

We place decisive importance on personal qualities.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience with the case management system Platina,
• notarial qualifications,
• experience of municipal supervision regarding guardianship and/or alcohol and tobacco.

The position is a fixed-term appointment for 6 months starting in August 2026.

You will belong to the Municipal and Foundation Supervision Unit within the Legal Affairs Department. The unit consists of 16 employees, both lawyers and case handlers, who work within several supervisory areas. The work is characterized by collaboration, high legal competence, and shared responsibility.

You will, together with colleagues, contribute to our improvement work to create even better and smarter ways of working and solutions.

We work in centrally located premises in Stockholm and there is an opportunity to work partially remotely.
