We are looking for:

A licensed preschool teacher for a temporary position between August 2026 and July 2027, as our current preschool teacher is on study leave. This position may potentially be extended.

We are looking for you who have both knowledge and practical experience working with multilingual children and creating language-developing environments. Experience working with structure, organization, and clear pedagogy (tydliggörande pedagogik) is a requirement.

You are an engaged and professional preschool teacher with several years of experience, wanting to help create a practice that starts from the children's interests and needs. Your view of the child is the most important piece of the puzzle for us; care and learning should be woven together, and your approach is characterized by this, as well as seeing and providing every child with the conditions to develop.

We are a small team, so collaboration is a prerequisite for a good work environment. Everyone's different competencies are needed to contribute to the unit's development and forward momentum. As the preschool teacher, you lead the work team. Structure and organization are important for both children and adults, and something we value highly.

If you have an interest in creative and/or health-promoting work, you are welcome to develop this work. Between 2026 and 2028, we are working with a focus on developing a pedagogical learning environment – the physical, pedagogical, and social aspects.

As a preschool teacher with us, you have great freedom to contribute to shaping our practice, as we are a small unit with short decision-making paths.

About us:

Preschool Ekorrbacken is located in Vällingby, with space for 19 children, divided into two smaller groups. We are located near Vällingby Center with access to the Grimsta Nature Reserve, the library, and public transport. We also have our own yard.

A language-conscious approach is a large part of our practice as many of our children are multilingual. We work with clear pedagogy to create accessibility and give all children the opportunity to feel a sense of context. Our small preschool provides good conditions for seeing all children and creating teaching based on their needs and interests.
