At the end of the summer, we are launching an entirely new group home in Skintebo, Billdal. This will be a fantastic and exciting journey where we will build a new workplace. A place where people can develop and grow into a better version of themselves. We are now looking for you who are particularly interested in meeting people at an early developmental stage and who have both physical and intellectual disabilities.

We work with the starting point that every individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence how the day looks and what support they need. The individual should be given the opportunity to develop towards as independent a life as possible. The support covers all daily situations, both at home and during leisure time. It can also include support for social activities/health-promoting activities, such as water gymnastics, horse riding, walks, etc. Today, this includes, for example, pool swimming and walks.

We are looking for you who not only want to participate but also want to influence, build, drive, and change. Are you a curious, fearless person who wants to help create tomorrow's housing from the ground up? Then this is your next step. As a support assistant, you play a crucial role in creating safe, stable frameworks for our residents. You know that genuine development presupposes self-determination – and that everyone can express self-determination in their own way. Therefore, in this assignment, it is important to have "an eye for small details," i.e., to be a good observer. You reflect on your observations and collaborate with your colleagues to create structures and routines where the users get to feel like the main characters in their own lives.

You see pedagogy as a collective responsibility where everyone contributes their thoughts and ideas to deepen, enrich, and further develop the pedagogical methods at the unit. You know that a well-functioning work group is built on mutual trust and that each person takes their share of the responsibility. You collaborate with the unit manager, relatives, and networks, always with the individual's best interest as a compass.

We document in the documentation system Treserva. You who have not previously used the systems used within Gothenburg City will receive training.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have a relevant education, e.g., support assistant training/Child and Youth program/Care and Nursing program, or have other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Alternatively, we are looking for you who are a licensed nursing assistant.

Meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with people with various disabilities
• LAB (Low-Affective Handling) and various forms of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
• Ability to administer food via tube
• Ability to provide support during epileptic seizures

Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. You have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. You who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.

You are attentive and open to understanding other people's needs, feelings, and opinions. You are receptive to what others say or express and show respect, consideration, and care in your interactions.

You are pleasant and helpful to other people even in a stressful situation and show respect to everyone you meet at work. You are inviting, positive, and work to ensure the user gets what they need.

You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.

It is meritorious if you have a driver's license and good driving experience.

It is also meritorious if you are a competent swimmer and feel safe participating in pool activities.
