About the facility

Our facility in Skarvik, Gothenburg, specializes in the handling of hazardous waste and is an integral part of Stena Recycling's operations. Here, we work with the reception, storage, and treatment of various types of hazardous waste and residual products from industry and shipping, as well as the purification of contaminated liquids. The operations are complex and place high demands on safety, quality, and precision at all levels. Here, you become part of a business where proper material handling is crucial – both for people's safety and for the environment.

About the role

As a Team Leader, you play a central role in daily operations, where you plan, lead, and follow up on work at the facility. You lead a team of approximately seven people and are responsible for creating structure in the daily work, while you are equally involved in the operational work as the other employees. The role is fundamentally operational, and you spend most of your time out in the facility working together with the team.

In your daily work, you handle material reception, conduct reception checks, and classify materials based on current requirements, ensuring that work is performed according to applicable requirements, routines, and safety regulations. You also lead morning meetings/operational meetings and actively work on improvements related to quality, working environment, and methods.

You will also have some administrative tasks, such as delivery planning, personnel planning, competence assurance, and creating instructions, but the focus of the role is on leading and driving the operational work forward.

Qualifications

• High school education
• Category B driver's license
• Experience from industry, process operations, chemistry, or work with hazardous waste
• Chemical competence
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• ADR certification
• Forklift license
• Experience in team leadership
