The municipality's urban planning work spans a wide variety of projects, from densification in existing towns to rural development and the establishment of entirely new areas. We work strategically to have projects in all parts of the municipality and to offer a modern and sustainable structure for both housing and business operations.

The Land and Development Department is responsible for developing and managing the municipality's land and is a central actor in the municipality's development journey. We work with strategic land issues, land transfers, land use rights, and property law matters. The department ensures that the municipality's interests as a landowner are considered and that there are economic prerequisites for the expansion of public spaces and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

As an experienced project manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a large and varied project portfolio, but primarily in our larger, complex projects with many different types of challenges and interfaces. Your function will be important for safeguarding and shaping the future Vallentuna. We work according to a project-based methodology, and you will collaborate closely with various functions within the urban planning sector.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the approved project plan and budget are in place, that status reporting and financial follow-up to the steering group occur according to routine, that the project model is followed, and that instructions from the steering group are adhered to. You will also work with calculations, property law, land allocation, and development agreements, among other things. You will be a key part of ensuring sustainable and feasible projects.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a project manager in urban planning projects.
  • You have worked as a development engineer.
  • You have experience working with large, complex projects with many challenges.
  • You have broad competence in areas such as technology, law, and economics related to urban planning.
  • You have a good understanding of the challenges that characterize the profession.
  • You are educated in urban planning, surveying, property economics, property law, or equivalent.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office, and experience with digital project and case management tools. We work, among other things, with the project tool Antura.
  • You have excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
