Önneredsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) in western Gothenburg, located in a picturesque natural area with easy access to forests and the sea. Our proximity to nature allows us to offer students various environments for enhanced learning.

We are a friendly team that enjoys working together with our students and their guardians. The staff group is diverse, with some members having worked at the school for many years and others being relatively new. We place great emphasis on well-being and organize many social activities.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a teacher to instruct in Physical Education and Health as well as Spanish for grades 7–9.

As a teacher at Önneredsskolan, you are passionate about teaching and guiding students toward set goals according to the current curriculum and syllabus. Your teaching is structured, and you follow up on and analyze your own teaching as well as student results. In your professional role, you are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Here, subject teachers collaborate closely and support each other in planning instruction and assessment to ensure equity. It becomes both a source of security and a more enjoyable job when you do it together!

Your duties also include serving as a mentor. Önneredsskolan 7–9 has six parallel classes in each grade level. There are two mentors per class, and in our role as mentors, we work together to create the best conditions for students to thrive, develop, and feel secure. The staff in each grade level is divided into work teams that meet once a week. Resource personnel and a representative from the school's student health team also attend these meetings.

Qualifications

You who apply for the position are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach Physical Education and Health as well as Spanish for grades 7–9. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have good knowledge of – and a preference for working with – digital learning materials in teaching.

As a person, you are perceptive and have strong collaborative skills with students, colleagues, and parents. You are creative, flexible, and capable of taking initiative. Önneredsskolan seeks employees who are engaged, have high expectations of students and themselves, and thrive in teamwork.
