Welcome to us

Bredängsskolan is a preschool class to grade 9 school located centrally in Bredäng. We are close to nature areas and Lake Mälaren, as well as to the subway and buses, which easily facilitate both commuting to work and opportunities for excursions and study visits with students. Many of our teachers have worked at the school for a long time, and students often stay with us from preschool class through grade 9. Many of our students have multicultural backgrounds, and we offer mother tongue instruction in 30 different languages after the regular school day ends. We also have a special needs school section for students studying specific subjects and subject areas.

Your Role

We are looking for you who are qualified and licensed to teach English and Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) at the lower secondary level (grades 7-9).

The position involves teaching Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and English for grades 7-9.

You will be part of the lower secondary school's work team and serve as a mentor for a grade 7-9 class.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.

Interviews may take place continuously during the advertising period.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' achievement of goals, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You who apply:

  • are a licensed teacher with qualifications in Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, and English for grades 7-9.
  • have at least 6 years of documented experience in the teaching profession/teaching in primary and lower secondary school (grades 4-9).
  • have experience with digital working methods as an enhancement in teaching.

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and you structure and adapt your teaching to create a safe and adequate learning environment. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.
