About Us

Stockholm International Academy (SIA) Häggvik is a comprehensive school located in Häggvik, Sollentuna, with easy access to both nature and good transport links via commuter train and bus. The school opened in 2016 and currently has approximately 370 students from preschool class to grade 9.

We offer modern and well-equipped facilities, including our own sports hall and specialized classrooms for crafts, home economics, and natural sciences. Teaching is conducted according to the Swedish curriculum and in Swedish. Our learning environments are characterized by safety, study atmosphere, and high expectations, where every student is given the prerequisites to reach their full potential.

The Student Health Service plays a central role in the school's operations and works closely with both students and staff. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers, strong collegial collaboration, and an organization divided into three work teams: lower school, middle school, and upper school. About the Position

We are now looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in grades 6–9. Qualification in Swedish as a Second Language is a requirement, as a large part of our students follow the curriculum in this subject.

As a teacher at SIA Häggvik, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the curriculum's goals. You work actively with language-developing teaching and create an accessible learning environment where students with different linguistic backgrounds are given the opportunity to develop and succeed.

You will become part of the upper school work team and collaborate closely with colleagues, the student health service, and guardians to create the best conditions for students' learning and development.

We are looking for someone who

• is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in grades 6–9
• has experience teaching in the later years of comprehensive school
• works in a language-developing and inclusive manner in your teaching
• has a good ability to adapt teaching based on students' different needs
• expresses yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• has good digital competence and uses digital tools as a natural part of teaching

Terms of Employment

The position is a vacation cover position with a start date in August 2026. A probationary period of up to six months applies. The school is covered by a collective agreement through Almega.
