Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established operation within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here we gather care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illness into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic illness. We work in multidisciplinary teams to make the care and treatment around the patient as good as possible.
Description
We are now looking for an occupational therapist who wants to help shape the future of psychotic care.
Ward 4 is an inpatient ward focusing on psychotic illnesses, and we have 14 care beds. The ward is part of Psykosvård Stockholm. We work with assessment, treatment, nursing, collaboration with care neighbors, and rehabilitation, and often somatic comorbidity. The ward is located at the S:t Göran Hospital area.
Responsibilities
- Cognition, activity, and function assessment/investigation/training.
- Assist patients with assistive devices.
- Assist with home visits to assess the patient's home situation and need for support at home after discharge.
- External assignments such as accompanying patients to shop, visit the bank, etc.
- Activation on the ward in the form of, among other things, movement sessions.
- Support staff and provide ongoing training in patient handling techniques for care personnel.
- Participate in rounds, care planning, and team conferences.
Conditions
Permanent position at 80%. Schedule can be arranged according to agreement.
Qualifications
Educated occupational therapist who preferably has experience from psychiatry.
Documented experience and knowledge of psychiatric conditions, work capacity/ADL assessments (preferably AMPS training or similar) and cognitive aids are meritorious. All permanent staff on Ward 4 are offered and must participate in a 4-day Bergen training, and if you have already taken it, it is meritorious.
We are looking for you who have good cooperation skills, are proactive, and enjoy working independently. The role requires good physical mobility to be able to conduct investigations and lead activities.
You are a secure and stable person who maintains focus even in challenging situations. Furthermore, you are flexible, innovative, and structured, and have an interest in the patient group. We place great emphasis on good cooperation skills and personal suitability.

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
Regarding patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
- A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- Requires, in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
