About Us

Majorna Health Centre and Child Health Centre are located in the harbour entrance of Gothenburg in the Majorna district, with approximately 10,000 registered patients. In the same building as the health centre, you will find Närhälsan's rehabilitation clinic, Regionhälsan's dietitian clinic, and Närhälsan's Health Centre for the Homeless, where we have a close and well-functioning collaboration. The workplace has pleasant and functional premises with proximity to restaurants, public transport, and a gym.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health centre cover a broad field and include general medical work with patients of all ages and life situations. Here, you work both independently and in close collaboration with other professions in teams around the patient. The work is varied and includes clinic work with opportunities for continuous knowledge exchange and support from experienced specialists and colleagues.

About You

You are a licensed physician with permission to work within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and specialist training (ST) in general practice. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

We are looking for someone who is receptive, engaged, and has a good approach when meeting patients of many different ages and life situations. You are confident in working independently and making your own decisions, while also thriving in teams and seeing the value of close collaboration with colleagues and other professions. You actively contribute to the development of the operations and wish to create a care environment characterized by quality, participation, and care together with your colleagues.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is a fixed-term assignment of 6 months, with a possible opportunity for extension and specialist training (ST), if you do not already hold an ST position.

For those who have trained as a doctor abroad and have not completed AT (Internship) in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Service for Doctors (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of specialist training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
