The administrative unit in Malmö consists of a total of approximately 30 employees located within gynecology and obstetrics. We work in various teams divided into outpatient and inpatient care within different specialties. Corresponding teams are located at the administrative unit in Lund; it is a given that we share joint responsibility for the administrative work in both locations. Many parts of the care provided are highly specialized. Here, you have the opportunity to make a difference, both for the women seeking care with us, and for yourself and your colleagues. Job Responsibilities
Daily tasks include, among other things, handling incoming mail, managing referrals, telephone service, appointment booking, quality assurance, handling 1177 (Swedish healthcare portal), registration, coding, and medical record writing. Other administrative duties may also occur. In addition, other responsibility tasks may be added, depending on knowledge and interest.
You will work both in teams and independently, and we welcome it if you, within your work team, wish to be involved in improving routines, working methods, and development.
This advertisement concerns a parental leave substitute position starting 2026-09-01 and ending 2028-03-31.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who can maintain focus and a professional attitude even when the work pace becomes high. You find it easy to plan your work and can organize and prioritize your activities effectively. To succeed in the role, you are flexible and solution-oriented. It is also important that you have a high sense of service and a good manner of dealing with both patients and colleagues. Personal suitability is given great importance.
Regarding formal requirements, you must have a approved education in healthcare administration (KY 80p/400p YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. Furthermore, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite for the position. It is also a requirement that you have good knowledge of medical terminology. You are a proficient computer user, preferably with experience working in both Melior and Obstetrix. If you have previous experience working as a medical secretary at a hospital, preferably within women's healthcare, this is meritorious.
