We are looking for construction managers and technical specialists for contract monitoring of a lump-sum contract for Gävle Municipality to Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consulting assignment. The base of operations is Gävle.

The scope of the assignment varies depending on which competence areas you can contribute to. We are looking for consultants with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Roads
• Ground and civil engineering
• Ground and geotechnics
• Metrology/Surveying
• Electrical and lighting
• Environment
• Occupational health and safety

We are looking for both you who are a specialist within a single area and you who have broad competence and can cover several technical areas within the assignment.

The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves assisting the project management with contract monitoring within several competence areas to ensure the client's responsibility and requirement monitoring of the construction contract. The assignment is carried out in an independent position towards the contractor and according to established requirements for cooperation, information security, as well as quality and environmental management.

Tasks

• Responsible for contract monitoring throughout the project and establishing and following up control programs, control plans, and risk-based controls.
• Review design, technical solutions, and the contractor's documentation, and ensure that contractual requirements, authority requirements, and quality requirements are met.
• Follow up on the contractor's quality management, work preparation, risk management, testing, controls, and verifications.
• Conduct site inspections and follow up on production, quantity reporting, schedules, economy, and progress.
• Participate in construction meetings, design meetings, inspections, site visits, safety rounds, and coordination meetings, and prepare materials for AFS (Swedish Work Environment Authority) work.
• Check that materials, products, certificates, relation documents, operation and maintenance instructions, and other final documentation meet the set requirements.
• Responsible for environmental security, authority contacts, environmental rounds, and documentation and follow-up of the project's environmental requirements.
• Handle metrology technical issues, sample controls, counter-measurements, occupational health and traffic safety follow-up, and ensure correct handover to management and final occupational health documentation.

Requirements (NOTE, mandatory)

General Requirements

• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Category B driver's license.

Contract Expert – Roads

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the road area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Contract Expert – Ground and Civil Engineering

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the ground and civil engineering area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Designer/Project Engineer/Handler/Specialist – Environment

• At least 3 years of experience as a designer, specialist, project engineer, or handler within the environmental area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Specialist – Occupational Health and Safety

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the occupational health and safety area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Production Expert – Ground and Geotechnics

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the ground and geotechnics area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Production Expert – Metrology/Surveying

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the metrology area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.

Production Expert – Electrical and Lighting

• At least 3 years of experience as a construction manager or in a leadership role, for example as production manager, foreman, site manager, construction site supervisor, or similar within the electrical and lighting area. The experience must have been acquired within the last 10 years.
• Good knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the area.
