Do you want to become part of our team as a Physiotherapist?
About us: We are a wonderful and dedicated group with extensive knowledge and an open atmosphere. Our work is characterized by enthusiasm and a strong commitment to our patients. We work in interprofessional teams consisting of special educators, psychologists, counselors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists, providing interventions to patients and their relatives both individually and in groups. Our clinic serves children and adolescents aged 0-17 living in the Järva district and Sundbyberg Municipality. We are located in spacious and bright premises, centrally situated at Möllan in Rinkeby.
Järva Children's Rehabilitation Center is part of Rehabilitation & Health, which belongs to the Stockholm County Council's healthcare area (SLSO) within Region Stockholm. The unit consists of two teams: the Autism Team, specialized in autism without concurrent intellectual disability, and the IFRN Team, specialized in intellectual disability with or without concurrent autism diagnosis, motor impairment, and multiple disabilities. We create conditions for our patients to function as well as possible in their daily lives. The challenge lies in the breadth of the patient's individual needs, and working with us therefore offers opportunities for broad experience as well as professional and personal development.
If you work with us, you will have an stimulating and varied job in a pleasant workgroup with a good working environment. You will receive collegial support from the unit's other therapists and have the opportunity for supervision within the team. We apply flexible working hours and offer benefits such as free healthcare, a generous wellness allowance, and wellness activities during working hours.
About the position: As a physiotherapist within rehabilitation, you will have an independent, varied, and stimulating job. The patients you meet will have a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities, for example intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, muscle diseases, chromosomal abnormalities, and/or autism diagnosis. The work includes mapping and assessment of motor skills, prescribing and follow-up of assistive devices, as well as treatment both individually and in groups. You will create care and action plans in consultation with the patient and their network to achieve a shared vision regarding interventions and participation. Your interventions aim to support the child's motor development to provide the greatest possible independence and optimize the surrounding environment based on existing conditions. Our patients often have complex needs where collaboration is required not only within the team but also with neighboring care providers, municipal operations, and other authorities. The tasks are varied and require flexibility as you will not only meet patients at the rehabilitation center but also, if necessary, in their immediate environment.
Rehabilitation works based on rehabilitation programs and care processes, where you as a physiotherapist also participate in patient intake, care planning, and evaluation of our interventions. All interventions provided are documented in our journal system, Take Care. Many interventions are given individually, so you should feel comfortable with an independent way of working. You need to be accustomed to structuring and planning your work yourself, as well as handling the documentation and administration that the work requires. You also need to have good collaboration skills and be driven by collegial learning as we have close cooperation with different professional categories within the unit. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We preferably see that you have a driver's license as the position involves travel within our catchment area.
Employment type: Permanent, full-time. Start date 2024-08-26 or according to agreement.
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be taken for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
