About the role

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinic in Norrtälje works according to standardized care processes based on the Region's process maps. As a specialized nurse at BUP, you work with nursing assessments, establish nursing diagnoses, and plan for treatment and interventions. You follow up on and manage children undergoing medication treatment in close dialogue with our doctors.

You are expected to be able to work with a broad spectrum of psychiatric illnesses and disabilities in line with what specialized child and adolescent psychiatry entails. You are also expected to handle patients with complex issues, work in a team with your new colleagues, and collaborate with care partners.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Person- and family-centered work.
• Contact with care partners and social services.
• Medication follow-ups.
• Suicide risk assessment.
• Creating individual care plans and crisis plans together with children and guardians.
• Conducting health conversations with adolescents at risk of or engaging in harmful substance use.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a registered nurse with specialized education.
• Experience from both child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry (including addiction medicine).
• Submit an extract from the criminal record.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Previous experience working at BUP.
• Experience from school health services.
• Experience in eating disorder treatment.
• Local anchoring.

You have a structured approach to work and a good ability to create order. You are pedagogical and clear in your communication, which allows you to easily guide others. Your flexibility enables you to adapt quickly to changes, and with a strong sense of responsibility, you ensure that the work you perform maintains high quality.

About us

BUP is part of "Familjens hus" (The Family House), which among other things houses MVC (Maternity Health Center), BVC (Child Health Center), Child Rehabilitation, the Counseling Clinic (first-line psychiatry for children and young people), and Open Preschool. A direct bus from the Royal Institute of Technology (Tekniska Högskolan) takes one hour. We work interprofessionally and place great emphasis on flexibility and innovation. We work systematically to improve the clinic's working methods, increase our competence, and provide care according to standardized processes regarding psychological assessment, investigation, and treatment.

BUP in Norrtälje is part of Tiohundra with its own purchasing organization but belongs to Region Stockholm. In recent years, we have implemented standardized care processes and "One Way In" (En väg in). "One Way In" is a collaboration with first-line child and adolescent psychiatry / the Counseling Clinic within Tiohundra, where patients and guardians can call themselves or via Always Open, with self-referral.
