Nordic Learning Center is looking for a certified teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) to teach adult students, both in the classroom and online. The position is hourly-based with a workload of up to 14 hours per week.

About the position

• Start date: Immediately
• Location: Stockholmsvägen 116 A, Täby
• Employment type: Hourly contract
• Workload: Part-time, max 18 hours/week (determined at interview)

You will teach adult students within the Adult Education (Komvux) program, both on-site and digitally via distance learning. The role involves planning, conducting, and following up on Swedish as a Second Language instruction across several levels.

Distance Learning

In addition to classroom teaching, you will be responsible for distance students, which includes:

• Online teaching, mentoring, and feedback
• Assessment and pedagogical documentation
• Working in Google Classroom and other digital tools

Responsibilities

As a Swedish as a Second Language teacher with us, you will:

• Teach adult students in both classroom and distance settings
• Plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching across several SVA levels
• Create materials adapted for both on-site and distance learning as needed
• Assess and document according to current guidelines
• Provide mentoring and support to distance students
• Work independently and take responsibility for course structure

Requirements

• Certification as a teacher in Swedish as a Second Language
• Very good digital competence
• Experience with Google Classroom
• Teaching experience, preferably in adult education
• Ability to work in a structured and independent manner
• Comfortable teaching adult students
