Job Description
The Employment Unit (AME) in Hällefors aims to work towards enhancing individuals' opportunities to become self-sufficient. We are looking for an Employment Coach for our Social Support Unit. The unit is organizationally part of Hällefors Municipality's Care Administration. The Employment Unit is part of the municipality's Social Support Unit and operates in close collaboration with social assistance services. You will collaborate with other operations both internally within the municipality and externally with authorities, employers, and civil society.
The unit's main task is to support the individual to strengthen their opportunities to enter the labor market. We coordinate the municipality's labor market political and employment-promoting measures regarding young people, long-term unemployed, newly arrived immigrants, and persons receiving financial assistance. With an upcoming activity requirement and an expanded mandate, we are embarking on an exciting development journey. The activity requirement aims to ensure that each participant, based on their prerequisites, takes active steps towards work or studies through increased participation, structure, and personal responsibility.
Responsibilities
As an Employment Coach, you work closely with the individual, focusing on creating conditions for self-sufficiency.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Mapping, coaching, supporting, and motivating individuals towards work or studies.
- Creating and following up on implementation plans.
- Planning and conducting group activities or other interventions.
- Close collaboration with labor market coordinators, social secretaries, and external actors such as the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan).
- Working systematically with follow-up and documentation.
- Contributing to operational development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university or university college degree within behavioral science, social work, pedagogy, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as the work involves extensive documentation and communication.
- Experience working with individuals with complex problems, focusing on supporting the path to work or studies.
- Good digital competence.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Personal qualities:
- You build trusting relationships and collaborate well with participants, colleagues, and external actors.
- You are flexible, empathetic, and confident in interactions with people.
- You have the ability to motivate towards development and meaningful activity.
Terms of Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment, with a probationary period potentially applicable. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. The position may therefore be filled before the final application deadline. Before employment, we require an extract from the Police Register ("Extract to check own information"). We recommend ordering this prior to any potential interview, as remarks may affect your employment.
