Description

School Area 1 in the Northeast includes three schools: Bergumsskolan (Grades F-9), Gunnilseskolan (Grades F-6), and Björsaredsskolan (Grades F-3). These are located in the scenic Bergum-Gunnilse area with good bus connections. Nearby you will find beautiful hiking trails, cycle paths, a golf course, as well as good services, culture, and sports facilities in the Angered center. A total of approximately 1,100 students attend these schools, and more than 130 staff members work here, including cafeteria and cleaning staff.

At Bergumsskolan in Olofstorp, approximately 800 students attend from pre-school class up to Grade 9. The staff consists of around 80 employees, including teachers, student health services, and other support functions. Teachers are organized into work teams for F-3, 4-6, and one for each grade in the lower secondary school. The school also has a special education group for students in Grades 4-9. For many years, Bergumsskolan has followed a systemic values-based approach. We work actively to promote and prevent issues to ensure a calm, safe, and pleasant school and workplace for everyone.

We are now looking for a certified and qualified teacher in Swedish for Grades 7-9!

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on your subject teaching carefully. You will be part of a work team for Grades 7-9, working alongside teachers with other subject competencies. Together, you will work to strengthen students' learning processes and create a good learning environment. You are also expected to collaborate with colleagues on school development work and be open to new ideas and suggestions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish in Grades 7-9. Qualifications in other subjects are meritorious. The role requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, familiarity with the school's governing documents, and computer proficiency.

As a person, you are energized by contributing to others' learning and creating conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from various perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. Furthermore, you must be able to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. To succeed in the role, we see that you seek and seize opportunities to think differently in work-related contexts and have the ability to implement this in practice. You stay updated through environmental scanning and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed and improved, both in your own teaching and in the operations as a whole.
