About the job

As a Service Architect within Networking, you are responsible for developing, steering, and managing the architecture for a service area consisting of several product areas. The service area covers data center networks, WAN, perimeter, and load balancing, and is carried out in close collaboration with the office networking product area.

Each product area has its own product architect and delivery capability, but together they form a cohesive networking capability. Your task is to create a clear overall picture and ensure that the product areas develop in a common direction based on target architecture, principles, and standards.

You operate at the intersection of business and IT, ensuring that network services support the business's needs, both today and in the future.

You work strategically and tactically to:

• develop and refine target architecture for the entire service area
• ensure alignment and direction across product areas
• define and manage common principles, standards, and guidelines
• support product owners and teams in architecture matters
• ensure that solutions fit together to form a stable, secure, and scalable whole

The organization is undergoing a technical shift towards more automated and flexible network solutions. You play a key role in this journey and work closely with other architects, product area owners, and the operations organization.

To succeed in the role, you need to bring people in the organization along with you. Therefore, the work involves engaging, anchoring, and communicating architectural decisions, as well as creating understanding of dependencies and interactions between product areas.

About you

In this job, you should:

You must also have:

• a university/college education in IT or equivalent multi-year, current, and relevant work experience
• multi-year, current, and relevant work experience in network architecture in larger organizations
• work experience working in environments with several product areas
• relevant work experience in developing and managing architecture, guidelines, and standards within networking
• work experience in change management in complex environments
• work experience in leading workshops and preparing and presenting decision materials for decision forums.

It is desirable that you have work experience with modern, software-defined, or automated network environments. Furthermore, it is desirable that you have work experience working in a product-oriented organization. It is also desirable that you have work experience from the public sector and relevant experience with agile working methods.

Good to know

The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
