We are now looking for a colleague for our work group and welcome you to apply for the position of Senior Social Worker for the investigation group VINR/HRV (Violence in Intimate Relationships and Honor-Related Violence).

As a Senior Social Worker, you lead social workers in accordance with current legislation and are responsible for the distribution of reports/applications. Together with the unit manager, you are responsible for legal certainty in the work. In your role, you serve as an accessible and close support, leading, coaching, and providing methodological guidance in daily work. You follow and develop group processes and collaborate closely with your two senior colleagues on the development of the unit. You represent social services in individual committees, the social board, and in legal processes in the administrative court and the court of appeal. You keep up-to-date with current research and environmental monitoring.

An important part of the assignment is to have close cooperation with other units within your own administration, as well as participating in collaboration forums across the city. Process guidance is included.

The VINR/HRV work group consists of seven social workers and one senior social worker, and is one of three work groups within the Adult 2 unit. We also work with supported housing and eviction prevention work, totaling 22 employees, including three senior social workers and one unit manager. The workplace is characterized by a good cooperative climate and helpfulness, with very low staff turnover. The unit also has an active and creative well-being group. We offer flexible working hours. Depending on the needs of the business, there is also the possibility of remote work. Our office is located in Hjällbo, and you will have your own large workspace.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker and have several years of experience in authority work within social services. You need to have experience in a leadership position. You are well grounded in the legislation regarding interventions under the Social Services Act (SoL). We also consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of the documentation system Treserva and leadership training.

You have an open and positive attitude, and you always have the client's needs as the starting point for your actions. You are structured but also flexible, and you thrive with an occasionally unpredictable workday. Since the work can be intensive at times, it requires that you are stress-resistant. You are listening and curious, and always ready to collaborate in a solution-focused manner both internally and externally. You have good self-insight and can reflect on your own leadership and how it affects your surroundings. You need to be confident in making decisions and able to explain your decision-making basis in a pedagogical way. It is important that you have a good ability to independently identify needs and drive processes with the intention of securing employees, as well as driving your own tasks and the unit's issues forward.

The Social Services Administration North East works to provide residents in north-eastern Gothenburg with equal and effective welfare with the possibility to live safe and independent lives.
