Make every hotel stay a masterpiece

At Clarion Hotel Umeå, we are redefining first-class hospitality and service with urban sophistication, high standards, and a hotel atmosphere that is both vibrant and welcoming. We are now looking for a chef who knows that every unforgettable hotel stay begins with a fantastic first impression that carries through every guest interaction.

As part of our kitchen team, you will help create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will prepare delicate, high-quality dishes while contributing to menu development and ensuring that dishes are presented in the best possible way.

Your responsibilities:

• Prepare dishes in accordance with established procedures, routines, and profit goals.
• Daily organization and planning for à la carte, lunch, and dinner.
• Maintain good communication with your direct manager and other members of the work team.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards colleagues and guests.

This is a 100% position with a start date to be agreed upon, but no later than August 17th. The role includes breakfast and lunch shifts, but evening and weekend work will also occur.

Does this sound like you?

• Experience from education in gastronomy and restaurant management, formal education, and work experience from the kitchen.
• Flexible and reliable with enthusiasm for food and customer service.
• Good communicator with an eye for detail.
• Comfortable with multitasking and independent decision-making.
• Responsible and driven.

Bonus points for:

• Extensive work experience from hotels, kitchens, or restaurants.
• Ability to turn challenges into opportunities, switch between multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain high standards of work performance, even when challenges and difficulties arise.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards work.
